The Office of the Investigative Committee for the Kurgan Region has completed an investigation into the criminal case of a resident of the village of Almenevo, accused of raping his daughter and beating his wife. This is reported on the department's website.
As the investigation established, in 2019, a villager “systematically” beat a 7-year-old girl and his wife. “For any disobedience,” he beat the child, including with nettles. In December 2019, the accused committed “sexual assault” against his daughter.
The man was arrested on charges of torture (points “a” and “d” of Part 2 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code) and acts of a sexual nature using violence or threats (point “b” of Part 4 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code). The investigator sent materials to the guardianship authorities to deprive the arrested person of parental rights.
