The court rejected the appeal against the arrest of the defendant in the second Simferopol case of Hizb ut-Tahrir

The Third Court of Appeal in Sochi rejected an appeal to extend the arrest of Shaban Umerov, a defendant in the second Hizb ut-Tahrir Simferopol case. This is reported by "Crimea. Realii” with reference to lawyer Nazim Sheikhmambetov.

During the meeting, Umerov challenged the panel of judges, citing the fact that he considers himself a citizen of Ukraine. The defense also pointed out the groundlessness of the conclusions of the court that extended the arrest.

Umerov will remain in custody until June 15.
