The united press service of the courts of general jurisdiction reported that activists received from three to 15 days of arrest. The courts considered cases under articles on disobedience to the legitimate request of a representative of the authorities (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and the organization of an inconsistent mass event (Article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
In Vladikavkaz on April 20, people went out to protest against the self -isolation regime. At least 2 thousand people participated in the action.
Residents went to the rally due to the loss of work and lack of information on coronavirus infections. They demanded that the authorities “explain the situation” and support the encountering material difficulties because of the coronavirus.
OMON fighters ousted protesters from the Square of Freedom in front of the government of the government. Participants in the action threw security forces with stones. OMON used batons, and at least one silovik was also affected . Later it became known about 69 detainees.
The initiator of the spontaneous action against the self -isolation regime Vadim Cheldiev was arrested for two months. He announced a hunger strike.
On April 21, the head of North Ossetia Vyacheslav Bitarov said that the residents of the region who lost income due to the self-isolation regime began to pay benefits. According to Bitarov, 152 families received payments.
On April 22, the Investigative Committee on North Ossetia opened a criminal case on the application of violence to 13 employees of the Russian Guard and the Ministry of Internal Affairs during the protest in Vladikavkaz. The case was opened under articles on the application of non -hazardous violence to the representative of the authorities (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and on hooliganism related to resistance to the representative of the authorities (part 2 of article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
