Many people who wrote about the temple in the Patriot Park near Moscow, both Christians and the people far from religion, noticed that all his symbolism, attributes and ideology are associated with the god of war, with some Mars or Perun, but not with a humble preacher from Galilee, who said: “He took the sword from the sword and perish.”

All measurements of this temple - in height and width - reflect the dates of the war, even church porch there are made of trophy weapons. The temple is painted in the color of khaki, its tall domes on the towers resemble ballistic missiles, ready to smash the enemy in any corner of the world. Already from the initial project it was clear how incompatible all this was with the Orthodox tradition, with Christianity. But, acting in the framework of the “state paradigm” and the very “cult of the Great Victory” himself, Patriarch Kirill Avans blessed all symbolic experiments to turn Christianity into a religion of war in the form of a giant art object in the Patriot Park. Maybe such experiments would have the right to exist if it were not talking about the game with real shrines - eucchanks, the relics of saints, genuine icons, framed by stars, sickles and hammers, - symbols of God -fertilizing. On this temple, the warning of the Apostle Paul about the combination of Christ with Veliar was truly in this temple.

Some attempts by a religious revival in Russia are only 30 years old, and even then it is difficult to recognize these attempts quite successful. Patriarch Kirill is more likely an irritant of public opinion, a politician and a businessman than the spiritual shepherd of the lost people. His silence and powerlessness in the conditions of the pandemic is a kind of mystical sign.

The factor uniting Russian society is by no means Orthodoxy and not religion at all, no matter how sad believing people were to recognize this.

So maybe this temple, on the contrary, is the most honest that has been built in the Russian Federation in recent years?

True, there is another question. When is the era of Putin - Shoigu - Matvienko and other geniuses of mankind end, where will their frescoes go? Will be demolished with the temple? Or were left as a editing to descendants as a pantheon of national shame?
