A potential medicine against coronavirus - Remdesivir - did not live up to the expectations of both scientists and investors. The first randomized controlled examination (RCT) of the drug ended in failure. The Financial Times from a report accidentally published WHO, became known about this. The same document was noticed by Stat News, but WHO quite quickly removed it from her site.

Earlier, in laboratory experiments, this drug, developed by the Gilead Sciences California farm -packing, showed its potential in the struggle against different viruses, including coronaviruses, so its clinical studies started at the very beginning of the pandemic. RCI conducted in China showed that Remesivir did not improve the condition of the patients and did not reduce the presence of pathogens in their blood.
