The Investigative Committee has begun checking in the footsteps of publications in the telegram channel "NEBOZHENA" about a member of the Federation Council Elena Mizulina. About this writes "TASS" with reference to an anonymous source.

Mizulina told the news agency that in mid-January she filed a request with the Prosecutor General's Office because of "deliberately spreading fake and slanderous information about her dual citizenship." The official stressed that law enforcement officers found signs of crimes under Articles 128.1 (slander) and 319 (insulting a government official). At the moment, the materials of the case related to the request of Mizulina are being handled by the Investigative Committee.
