The Prosecutor General's Office demanded that the interview with Sever. Realities" about the lack of mechanical ventilation and forced euthanasia

The Prosecutor General's Office saw signs of "fake news" in an interview with an anonymous resuscitator posted on the Sever. Realii”, and demanded to block it. It spoke about the lack of ventilators in St. Petersburg hospitals, because of which doctors were forced to repeatedly resort to euthanasia.

The Prosecutor General's Office states that, according to the St. Petersburg Government Health Committee, the statements made in the interview are not true: "Medical assistance is provided in accordance with the established procedure in the required volume."

• Journalist "North. Realities” Tatyana Voltskaya was interviewed on April 27 because of an anonymous interview with a resuscitator about working conditions during a pandemic. Voltskaya may face a criminal case on the dissemination of “knowingly false” information (Article 207.1 of the Criminal Code). The Investigative Committee is currently investigating.
• On April 1, 2020, Article 207.1 of the Criminal Code - “Public dissemination of knowingly false information about circumstances that pose a threat to the life and security of citizens that pose a threat to the life and security of citizens” came into force. The maximum penalty under the article is up to three years in prison.
