Judge Lyudmila Kostyunina of the Babushkinsky District Court of Moscow on April 29 extended the preventive measures imposed on followers of Jehovah's Witnesses Yuri and Zinaida Krutyakov, Vitaly Nikiforov and Konstantin Zherebtsov. Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia report this on their website.

The court left Yuri Krutyakov in custody until July 29, and the rest of the believers under house arrest until the same date. As the religious organization notes, the Krutyakovs’ health has deteriorated and they need a medical examination.

Yuri Krutyakov was placed in a pre-trial detention center on March 6, 2020. He was accused of three articles at once: organizing the activities of an extremist organization (Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code), participation in it (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code), as well as involvement in the activities of such an organization (Part 1.1 of Article 282.2 UK).
On October 4, 2019, the Babushkinsky Court of Moscow, after a series of searches and arrests , placed four followers of Jehovah’s Witnesses Zinaida Krutyakova, Konstantin Zherebtsov, Vitaly Nikiforov and Nikolai Yakovlev under house arrest. The investigation believes that all of them continued to participate in the activities of the organization, despite its recognition as extremist.
On April 20, 2017, the Supreme Court recognized the “Administrative Center of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia” as an extremist organization, liquidated it and banned its activities in Russia. In August, all Jehovah's Witnesses organizations were added to the list of prohibited organizations. After this, a stream of criminal cases began.
