Apple and Google sent applications to the developers of the Code and UI samples of the joint system for tracking the COVID-19 contacts through the Bluetooth of the small radius of action. At the same time, the companies will not directly participate in the creation of programs. This was reported by TJ in Apple.

The system is called Exposurenotification, examples of code for interacting with it were published for iOS and Android in the public domain. Companies also independently released politicians that developers will have to follow when creating API -based products.

The main requirements of Apple and Google to developers

• Applications should be created only by a state organization or for it, they can only be used to prevent the spread of COVID-19;
• Applications must ask users consent before starting contacts through the new API;
• Applications should ask the user consent before sending a positive result and “diagnostic keys” to the healthcare body;
• Applications should collect only the minimum amount of data and can use this data only to combat Covid-19. Any other use of data, including advertising targeting, is prohibited;
• Applications cannot request permission to access geolocation;
• The use of the API will be limited by one application for each country to ensure a high degree of implementation and loading by users and avoid fragmentation.

At the same time, companies are ready to support health authorities if the country is in crushing in regions with autonomous self -government. Apple and Google promised to continue to work on the update of the system and release the SDK by the end of May 2020.

Examples of Google and Apple system interfaces

On April 10, Apple and Google announced the creation of a joint control system with Covid-19. According to companies, users who have coronavirus and learned about their diagnosis will be able to notify the health authorities of this. After that, the Exposurenotification system will disperse the notification of contact with the patient all users who were next to the sick.

The system works due to the exchange of “diagnostic keys” through the Bluetooth of a small radius of action - if two users have been next to the phones on recently and one fell ill, the second can find out about it. On May 1, Apple published a beta version of Xcode 11.5, which contains a preliminary version of the developer tools with a new API. The company also introduced the early version of the API in the beta version of iOS and iPados 13.5. Then Google released the beta-renewal of Play Services with the new API.
