Pskov: The number of sick migrants at a construction site has doubled

The number of Kyrgyz citizens who have infected coronavirus who arrived in the Novosokolnic region of the Pskov region to work at the construction of an infectious diseases hospital increased to 38. The chief sanitary physician of the region Alexander Nesteruk spoke about this at a meeting of the opera station.

In total, 40 visitors were infected with coronavirus in the Pskov region. Two more are residents of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region. In the region, since the beginning of Pandemia, Koronavirus was confirmed in 226 people, 8 died.

Workers from Kyrgyzstan arrived in the Pskov region, according to various sources, on April 21 or 22. Governor Mikhail Vedernikov reported the arrival of 41 workers. Officially, Koronavirus was confirmed by 16 of them. Later, information appeared that 90 workers arrived in the Pskov region. 16 people were isolated in the Pskov city infectious diseases hospital. The remaining 74 builders who were in contact with patients were aimed at observation in the Nevelsky district, where they will spend two weeks.

The district deputy Irina Ershova claimed that they were supposedly not isolated two weeks after arriving in the region. Deputies of the district wrote an appeal to the prosecutor's office and demanded to investigate the outbreak of coronavirus.

The governor of the Pskov region Mikhail Vedernikov said on April 30 that the region will change the methodology for counting the number of dead from the virus. Those whose death "was caused by unambiguously other causes will be excluded from statistics."
