Another prisoner died after a riot in a colony in Angarsk. The young man received a fracture of the spine and other severe injuries during the protest in IK-15. The doctors could not save him. This was announced by human rights activist Pavel Glushchenko.
"I sincerely bring condolences to my relatives and friends. Tears and mothers should not remain unpunished. In peacetime, young guys die, not from the enemies of Russia, but from the unreasonable actions of Russian employees who perform signs of crime against the state," Glushchenko says.
Relatives of the prisoners of the Angarsk correctional colony made a flash mob on social networks: they publish their photos with posters with demands to report on the state of health of the victims during the force suppression of the protest in IK-15. In addition, relatives arrange pickets near a pre -trial detention center in Irkutsk, where part of the prisoners are located. “They hide the convicts from both relatives and lawyers for almost a month. What is doing so much time with them?”, Pavel Glushchenko says.
On April 10, 2020, a rebellion in IK-15, according to convicts, began with the beating of one of the colony employee. Then he opened his veins and published a video message. According to the victim, due to the appearance of the video, the FSIN employees beat him again. After that, in protest, the wounds were inflicted by all prisoners in the hut - 17 people. Another version of the rebellion of prisoners calls the tightening of the regime when, after introducing the self -isolation regime in the Irkutsk region, the prisoners banned any meetings with relatives and transmission.
According to the press service of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Irkutsk Region, convicts of correctional colony No. 15 in Angarsk attacked an employee of the institution. He is allegedly hospitalized with bodily injuries. In the department, the situation in the colony was called "controlled."
Under the rubble after the fire, the body of one of the convicts was found. Previously, convicts announced two dead, in the FSIN this information did not confirm and said that the dead were not.
Nine prisoners, injured during an emergency on April 10 in a colony No. 15 of the city of Angarsk, entered the medical insulator with injuries. One of them had to be carried on a stretcher.
On April 15, the Minister of Justice of Russia Konstantin Chuychenko said that a riot in a colony in Angarsk was arranged by some external forces. In his opinion, the conditions in the colony were quite decent, and there were no prerequisites for indignation from convicts.
A group of human rights activists and journalists demanded that the Russian authorities conduct an independent investigation of the rebellion in colony No. 15 in Angarsk. The appeal is published on the website of the Human Rights Society "Memorial". It is addressed to the President of Russia, the chairman of the Investigative Committee and the head of the FSIN, as well as the general prosecutor.
