The Russian leadership for a long time did not dare to cancel the Victory Parade in Moscow, and all this time thousands of military people came to a rehearsal, without observing precautions. As a result, hundreds of military personnel, including minor cadets, fell ill with coronavirus.
At the end of April, the cadet of the Suvorov School in Tver, 16-year-old Vladimir, the name of the hero was changed at his request, turned to the medical unit of the educational institution with complaints of a temperature of about 37.5.
15 cadets complained about increasing temperature. Vladimir did not even assume that he could become infected with coronavirus: he had no cough or other symptoms, and the doctors said that, most likely, the cadets just SARVI, Vladimir and his classmate Artem tell.
Infected cadets were put in a separate medical unit, but it was difficult to call it in isolation: young people went to the dining room with the rest of the cadets and visited a common toilet, says Vladimir.
The day after contacting Vladimir, Vladimir was made to Koronavirus, and two days later the analysis showed a positive result. At first, the Suvorovets even thought that this was a medical error.
However, a week later, Koronavirus was confirmed by almost a hundred Tver Suvorovites, and established a “project” based on conversations with several cadets. All of them, like Vladimir, went to the Moscow Region at the end of March - to participate in the rehearsal of the parade on Red Square on May 9.

President Vladimir Putin did not want to cancel the parade for a long time, says an interlocutor close to the Kremlin. The 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War was planned to celebrate on a special scale: the military processions were supposed to be held in 475 cities of Russia, the Minister of Defense Sergei Shoigu claimed.
It was so unacceptable to talk about the very opportunity to cancel the holiday events in connection with the pandemia of the coronavirus that such assumptions were officially recognized as fakes. So, when the journalists of the Zvezda Perm portal on the basis of the abolition of public procurement of fireworks and the St. George ribbons concluded that there would be no parade in Perm, the Minister of Culture of the region called it “absolute lies”, and Roskomnadzor blocked the article “For the spread of fakes”. Three weeks after this, the parade in the city was really postponed .
Even relatives and friends of those who were supposed to march along the paving stones of Red Square perceived the news about the possible cancellation. In the VKontakte group dedicated to the parade, the parents of the cadets were often bothered by the possibility of infection, but that when transferring the parade, some soldiers and cadets will already have time to demobilize or finish training. And therefore, they will not fall on Red Square as part of marching columns. Parents proposed in extreme cases to draw a parade without spectators: war veterans, who are at risk by age, “they can watch the parade on TV.”
Preparations for the parade did not stop even when the first quarantine measures were introduced throughout the country. On April 1, when Russia has already closed the borders, and most countries canceled mass events, the presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov still said that the “military training” and the organization of the arrival of foreign guests are ongoing.
The last rehearsal of the parade at the Alabino training ground, which exactly repeats the central square of Russia, was held on April 16, a participant in rehearsals in Alabin told the project - by this moment Moscow and the region had been in self -isolation for almost 20 days.

That rehearsal was the latter only because on the same day Putin finally announced the transfer of the parade. The rehearsal participants were to return to the location. No one then said that at least dozens of its participants had already gone with the symptoms of the disease by that time.
Who was supposed to participate in the parade on Red Square
In total, 15 thousand people and about 400 units of military equipment were to take part in the parade. “Units of 20 foreign armies were invited to the parade. A number of countries, including those included in the CIS, have already confirmed their participation, ” said Minister of Defense Sergey Shoigu in February.
The rehearsals of the parade are usually held at the Alabino training ground, this year, training continued three times a week from late March to April 16. It is very difficult to prevent the spread of the virus in the conditions of barracks: soldiers live together, use the same shower and toilets, go to the dining room together, sit in the classroom. In addition, although employees are transported on buses, and they fly from military airfields, they still contact other people in one way or another: bus drivers, trains conductors, cooks. And officers have the opportunity to go to the city.

"We just joked the sick"
The Tver Suvorov School, where young men under the age of 18 study, delegated about 150 cadets and 16 officers to the parade. Most did not reach Alabin, having housed the military unit in Krasnoznamensk near Moscow, three Suvorovites told the project.
It all started with the fact that shortly after the start of training in Krasnoznamensk at once, five cadets at the same time rose at the same time and the smell disappeared. “They were isolated from the rest, but they intersected with us during meals. They were masks, but not medical, but rags, and they put the napkin inward, ”says Suvorovets Vladimir. Further in the text, the names of military personnel, cadets, cadets with whom the “project” communicated were changed at their request. They did not conduct tests to the sick, and their classmates continued to train the constructions as if nothing had happened. “Then we just joked at these five sick people, approached them, said that they had a coronavirus,” Vladimir recalls.
Then the Suvorovites found out that their boss met with the head of the Nakhimov Naval School (located in St. Petersburg, there are branches in Vladivostok, Murmansk and Sevastopol) by Rear Admiral Anatoly Minakov, who was then diagnosed with Coronavirus, wrote the Base and told the “project” one of the Nakhimovites.
When it became known that there would be no parade, the training was over, and the cadets were sent to the base of the school in Tver. Now another 15 people turned to the cough and high temperature to the medical unit of the school.
All those who returned from Krasnoznamensk decided to settle in a separate building. The Coronavirus tests first made the first 15 sick, and then to everyone who returned from the Moscow Region. However, the results were not reported to them immediately. After conducting tests, the school received a list with the names of those who need to be resettled into a separate class. Then, among the cadets, panic began. They suspected that the leadership already known the results of the tests, but they are hidden. Parents began to call the doctors and commanders, two cadets told the project.
“Then they put us in the room and began to talk about what we will do today, some organizational points. And in passing, between the lines, they say that the first results of the tests came - and out of 15 people, the analysis is positive for all 15, ”says Vladimir Artem, who was also among the sick.
However, the representatives of the Ministry of Defense, who came to the school on the same day, reported other figures. According to cadets, the school leadership reported that out of 140 people, according to one of the cadets, only eight were sick. Information about the eight sick at the Suvorov School soon appeared in the media - as the official information of the Ministry of Defense.
Five days after that, the cadets did not report the results of other tests. They were told differently: either the results were lost, then they will be informed only to parents, one of the Suvorovites told the project. On April 28, they nevertheless came: in the company of Artem and Vladimir, 40 out of 55 people found a positive result. There was a similar result in the neighboring company, the cadets above, the cadets say. “Project” spoke with the cadets of one of these two companies.
The cadets with whom the “project” communicated cannot be confidently confident to inform how the infection began. According to one version - from officers and banners who traveled to Alabino. On the other, from the head of the school, who met with the head of the Nakhimov school in the same place, in Alabin.
Cadets with negative results were sent home. Those who have shown coronavirus were taken to be treated to the departmental military sanatorium of the Moscow Region in Mytishchi. Students of the Nakhimovsky Naval School from St. Petersburg and Vladivostok already lived there, two Nakhimovites said.

The cadets-Nakhimovtsy-about 150 people-arrived in the suburbs to rehearse the parade a week before the announcement of the self-isolation regime in Moscow, two Nakhimovites told the project. Officers and cadets settled in the hostels of the Military University of the Ministry of Defense in Moscow, the main command lived separately. At first, the Nakhimovites should have training on the parade ground of the institute - they always do this - and only then join the rehearsals in Alabin, on the main bridge of training parade.
Most did not reach Alabin. At first, the leadership explained that the cadets were “protecting”, two Nakhimovites told the “project”: they were 14-17 years old. “As far as I understood, [coastal] from the virus, but most likely they took care of other people from us-carriers-children,” says Nakhimovets Oleg-the name of the cadet was changed at his request. They did not go to the city: it was prohibited.

From the first to the third week of their stay in Moscow in hospitals with temperature, cough and runny nose, about 25 cadets were already taken away, mostly Vladivostok, and several officers who went to the city, one of the Nakhimovites told the project. When their Coronavirus test was positive, everyone who remained in the hostels also took tests. However, no one canceled the training: they promised cadets that after April 13 they would go to Alabino.
After it became known about the cancellation of the parade, 31 Nakhimovets and 14 officers went to the hospitals - also with a positive result, two Nakhimovites said. It was about these 31. Later the Ministry of Defense reported . Together with them, Rear Admiral Minakov, head of the school, also got into the hospital with high temperature. The command was accepted by the deputy chief who came from St. Petersburg, the Nakhimovites were supposed to return home.
“Everything has changed several times, and the next day, when we drove up to the military airfield, we sat on the buses for about 40 minutes, we were announced that everything was changing, and we were going to a military sanatorium for isolation,” says the cadet Gleb, his name changed. Cadets were settled in the departmental sanatorium in Zvenigorod. “We stayed there for a week, we took the second test, and then almost everyone found the virus,” says Nakhimovets. Infected (from 40 to 60 people) were moved to the same sanatorium of the Moscow Region in Mytishchi, and those whose test turned out to be negative, after quarantine was sent home.
Most cadets suffered the disease easily: the sense of smell and taste disappeared, several people were hospitalized with high temperature, but already managed to return back to the sanatorium, at the time of publication, according to the interlocutors, about 10 people remained, followed by the words of two Nakhimovites.

The video that appeared on the network on April 1 was shot from the bus window. On it, hundreds of soldiers stand at the training ground - the author of the video claims that the case is happening in the same Alabin. The military are built side by side, none of them are masks. “That video in Yutyub from the bus drivers is the real truth,” the son said, ”says the mother of one of the employees of the 336th separate guards brigade of the marine corps, who was at a rehearsal in Alabina. It was the rehearsals that led to mass infection among the military and cadets, all the interlocutors with whom the “project” spoke in the preparation of this material are sure.

Wearing masks on rehearsals in Alabin was selective. For example, according to one of the participants from the Military Academy of Communications. Курсанты Военного университета Министерства обороны ездили на репетиции в Алабино несколько раз в неделю. Впервые о том, что курсанты Военного университета массово жалуются на плохое самочувствие, стало известно в конце апреля, уже после отмены парада. Также сообщали , что курсанты утверждают, будто бы у них на самом деле не измеряют температуру.
Эти сообщения Министерство обороны назвало «фейком» и даже обещало направить обращение в правоохранительные органы за распространение этой информации. По данным министерства на конец апреля, в Военном университете к тому моменту провели 500 тестов на коронавирус и выявили его только у девяти человек.
Однако близкие курсантов, с которыми связался «Проект», считают, что счет идет на десятки, если не на сотни заразившихся. «Мой сын ходит с насморком. В санчасть не идёт — его не принимают и отправляют назад в казарму. Видимо, для них это пустяки, ждут температуру», — рассказала мать одного из курсантов. Она пожаловалась на то, что родителям курсантов не сообщают о числе заболевших: «Мы только гадаем, что да как. И со слов сыновей понимаем, что всё не под контролем — хотя в руководстве училища говорят обратное».
Родные курсантов, с которыми поговорил «Проект», также жалуются на условия: санчасть переполнена, маски начали выдавать только после 25 апреля, а до этого получали одну в неделю. «Больные в очереди с 6 часов до 12 ночи, потому что всех не успевают проверить. Температуру сбивают уколами», — рассказала «Проекту» подруга одного из курсантов. По ее словам, тесты на коронавирус тем, у кого проявляются симптомы, начали делать только 5 мая.

«Проекту» не удалось узнать точное число заболевших в Университете МО. Близкие курсантов считают, что руководство университета боится огласки — у некоторых курсантов даже отнимают телефоны, чтобы они не разглашали информацию , рассказала «Проекту» подруга курсанта Военного университета. По их словам, когда в вуз приехал представитель Минобороны, больных студентов «заставили встать с постели и рассадили перед ним по партам».
«Думаю, что заражения связаны с репетицией парада, но в большей мере занесли с улицы. Обычные курсанты были закрыты [на карантин] уже с середины марта. А вот офицеры, повара, учителя и другие были вхожи в универ, — рассказала мать одного из курсантов. — Почему наша хваленая армия не позаботилась о простых курсантах?»
У «Проекта» также есть данные о массовом заражении среди офицеров университета и их семей. «Они живут на территории университета в районе Лефортово в Москве — в общежитии для семей военных», рассказал «Проекту» участковый врач, который приехал в Военный университет осматривать жену офицера (корпуса университета расположены в районе Волочаевской улицы). «Так как жены офицеров не военнослужащие, они могут вызвать врача из поликлиники», — рассказал он. По его словам, ситуация в университете напоминает эпидемию, участковые врачи приезжают сюда каждый день. «В университете болеют все», — рассказала жена одного из офицеров приехавшему врачу — аудиозапись есть в распоряжении «Проекта».
«Пошли болеть после Алабина»
В санатории «Подмосковье», где сейчас лечатся курсанты училищ, находятся и кадеты Московского военно-музыкального училища имени генерал-лейтенанта В. М. Халилова, которые также должны были принимать участие в параде 9 мая , об этом «Проекту» рассказали два нахимовца из санатория и подтвердил кадет военно-музыкального училища, не находящийся в санатории. Один из кадетов на условиях анонимности подтвердил «Проекту», что в училище действительно были заболевшие коронавирусом, но к моменту публикации текста «в основном все вылечились», и сейчас в «Подмосковье» остались около 20 человек из 50 — они «в основном пошли болеть после Алабино».
Заболевшие есть и среди курсантов ВУНЦ ВВС «Военно-воздушная академия им. профессора Н.Е Жуковского и Ю. А. Гагарина» в Воронеже, которые также принимали участие в репетиции парада в Алабине. «Дело в том, что точные данные по вопросу заболеваемости Министерство обороны не дает и в Минздрав не предоставляет, наверное, чтобы не было паники и, опять же, чтобы в случае чего сказать, что мы полностью чистые. От своих детей мы знаем, что болеют [коронавирусом] целыми факультетами, вернувшимися оттуда [из Алабина]», рассказала «Проекту» мать одного из курсантов академии. По ее словам, в военном вузе проводят тесты, а курсантов, которые приехали с полигона, изолировали в палаточный городок. Офицеры академии начали заболевать еще в Москве, некоторые из них остались там же в госпитале , утверждает мать курсанта.
Есть заболевшие и в Преображенском полку, который дислоцирован в Москве и тоже должен был принять участие в параде — это следует из поста в группе, где общаются родители военнослужащих — там 29 апреля появилась запись некоего Федора Федорова, который часто отвечает на вопросы участников группы об организации службы. В сообщении говорилось, что оно опубликовано по просьбе Совета родительского комитета полка. «Со слов родителей, у большинства ребят клинические проявления отсутствуют или течение в легкой форме», — писал участник группы. Он также отметил, что тяжелых пациентов в полку нет, при ухудшении состояния солдат переводят в госпиталь. Несколькими днями ранее родители в той же группе собирали деньги, чтобы отправить в полк мед, антисептики и лимоны по просьбе солдат. Участники при этом просили друг друга не писать постов, «компрометирующих сыновей и часть».
В Преображенском полку после того, как корреспондент «Проекта» попыталась задать вопрос о количестве заболевших, повесили трубку.
Сколько всего больных в армии?
Всего, по официальным заявлениям Минобороны, в российской армии на 6 мая коронавирусом были инфицированы 1506 военнослужащих, еще 1182 человека — среди курсантов и слушателей военных вузов, воспитанников довузовских учебных заведений — 228: всего 2916 человек.
Сколько из них участвовали в репетициях парада и заболели во время или после этого, Минобороны не сообщало , на запрос «Проекта» в ведомстве не ответили.
«Проекту» неизвестно точное число заболевших, однако суммировав полученные от служащих и родственников данные, мы получили не менее трех сотен заболевших во время репетиции — всего 376 человек. Это восьмая часть тех, кто вообще оказался инфицированным коронавирусом в российской армии, военных институтах и училищах. Вероятнее всего, эта цифра в разы больше: «Проекту» удалось поговорить только с участниками репетиций и их знакомыми из шести частей, институтов и училищ (из более чем 40), участвовавших в репетициях в Подмосковье.

«Проекту» не удалось связаться с командованием Тверского Суворовского училища, Нахимовского военно-морского училища и Военно-музыкального училища им. Халилова. Министерство обороны на запрос не ответило. В санатории «Подмосковье» корреспонденту «Проекта» подтвердили, что не принимают обычных постояльцев до 1 июня.
6 мая военнослужащим запретили разглашать информацию о службе, местах дислокации и военной принадлежности во время сборов и нахождения в воинской части. «Проект» общался со всеми указанными в тексте источниками до вступления указа в законную силу.
В Военном университете отказались от комментариев, ссылаясь уже на новый указ от 6 мая.

В день, когда курсанты московского Военного университета должны были маршировать по Красной площади, они оказались в другом месте — прямо 9 мая в университете провели выпускной, который прошел на его территории. Десятки курсантов выстроились на плацу шеренгами, а потом прошли торжественным маршем. На мероприятии присутствовал замминистра обороны Андрей Картаполов, отвечающий за идеологию, а в группе «ВКонтакте» шла онлайн-трансляция мероприятия. По данным «Проекта», в шеренге была как минимум одна выпускница, ожидавшая результатов теста на коронавирус. После празднования он оказался положительным , об этом она сообщила в чате с участниками репетиции парада.
В тот же день видеозапись трансляции была удалена, как и все посты, связанные с выпуском курсантов . «Проект» сохранил видео с трансляции.
