Arsen Besolov, the administrator of a chat for supporters of singer Vadim Cheldiev, was detained in Vladikavkaz. This is reported by “Apology of Protest”.
Besolov was charged with organizing hooliganism at a rally in Vladikavkaz (Part 3 of Article 33 of the Criminal Code, Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, he, as part of a criminal group with Vadim Cheldiyev and Ramis Chirkinov, called for participation in the rally via telegram.
Previously, Besolov was sentenced to 15 days of arrest under Part 1 of Article 20.2.2 of the Administrative Code (organizing a mass presence of citizens in public places, resulting in a violation of public order). The police decided that the activist had organized a rally against the “self-isolation regime.”
Opera singer Vadim Chaldiv has already become a defendant in three criminal cases. He is charged with spreading fake news (Article 207.1 of the Criminal Code), attacking an operative of Center “E” (Part 1 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code) and inciting extremism (Article 280 of the Criminal Code). During a rally on March 20 in Vladikavkaz, protesters also demanded the release of Cheldiev. The action ended with arrests and a criminal case for the use of violence against police officers and members of the National Guard.
