
Official permit was obtained to put into operation the first automobile bridge from Russia to China. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Russia. It was built next to Blagoveshchensk across the Amur River.
"The joint Russian-Chinese company received permission to put into operation of the border bridge of the Amur River (Haylongjiang) in the area of the cities of Blagoveshchensk (RF)-Heihe (PRC)," the report said.
It is also noted that if it were not for the pandemic and closed boundaries of states, then the movement on the bridge began immediately after issuing permission. In this situation, the bridge will begin to operate only after all restrictions are removed.
The bridge is two -lane, the total width of the carriageway is 11 meters. According to the technical specifications, 630 trucks, 164 buses and 68 cars will be able to drive through the bridge every day.
The agreement on the construction of the bridge Russia and China signed almost 25 years ago - in 1995. The construction of the bridge began in 2016 and was completed in December 2019. The length of the bridge is 1080 meters. Russia and China built exactly half - 540 meters each. The total length of the bridge transition is 20 kilometers. This includes 6 kilometers of the road in China and 13 kilometers of access roads in Russia.
