One of the many discussions at the festival will be devoted to a slow, difficult, but inevitable transition of energy to renewable energy sources. As the organizers of the discussion noted, “by 2030 the world plans to extract 50% more fossil fuel than possible within the scenario of 2 ° C, and is going to build half as much power plants on renewable energy sources (renewal) than to achieve the goals of the Parisian agreement.”
This means that it is still far from the full transition to renewal - and very far. What interferes with this process? What obstacles are in his way? What will the world without oil and gas look like? How to overcome doubts arising on this path?
All this will be discussed in an online discussion with the participation of experts, which will be held on May 22 from 17:00 to 18:30, candidate of economic sciences, senior researcher, general director of the Association “Purpose Number Seven” Tatyana Lanshina. The discussion will take part in the co -chair of the Kaliningrad environmental public organization "Eco -Protection!" Vladimir Slivak, President Energy Watch Group Hans-Joseph Fell, Associate Professor of Greek University Janina Stella Tsan and Lisa Fisher, senior adviser to E3G politics.
You can listen to these debates and take part in them if you register on time here .
Before you join the zoom conference , we advise you to read the text of Tatyana Lanshina , where she gives a wide scientific review of questions that usually arise in people when it comes to such a radical change in the structure of the surrounding us-in indirect and direct form-energy sources.
