Diakonia Foundation report for the fourth quarter of 2019
The Diakonia Charitable Foundation helps the most vulnerable segments of the population - addicted people, the homeless, and also works to prevent HIV infection in St. Petersburg.
In the fourth quarter of 2019, Diakonia worked within its areas.
The Office of Assistance to People in Difficult Life Situations continued its work . The applicants were consulted, including large families and families raising children with disabilities. During this time, 596 consultations were held, 399 food sets, 424 units of clothing and shoes, and 50 units of hygiene products were issued . And at the end of the year, children from ward families received New Year's gifts.
The “Bus of Mercy” mobile food service distributed hot food to people in difficult life situations at its usual addresses: st. Atamanskaya and st. Chiliev, and also donated hot meals for the homeless to the Night Stay House of the Central District of St. Petersburg. Every day from 40 to 59 people come to the Mercy Bus for hot food .
The direction of rehabilitation of people dependent on psychoactive substances continued its work . At the Rehabilitation Center in Poshitny in the fourth quarter, 35 people underwent rehabilitation, 13 of them completed the course. 44 people underwent rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Center in Sologubovka, 26 people completed the course.
And back in November, the annual “Meeting Evening” of the Diakonia Charitable Foundation took place. The event was attended by 350 people - students, graduates, employees and friends of the Foundation.
In the fourth quarter of 2019, we managed to collect 55,394 rubles for the benefit of the Foundation . Most of them—52,644 rubles—are monthly donations . Such donations help the Organization plan its work months in advance. They are automatically debited from your bank card or PayPal once a month.
