The Petersburg Health Committee changed the procedure for providing payments to health workers who infected with coronavirus or dead as a result of the disease. The corresponding order is published on the Smolny website.

Now information about the infection of the health worker can be provided to the commission created by the employer by himself or the institution that treated the sick. In the event of the death of the medic, it is the hospital where he was treated that must send information about the disease to the commission. In the previous version of the resolution, the application for the recognition of infection or death should have been sent by relatives of the medic.

In addition, now, if the infected health worker or family members of the deceased medication do not agree with the decision of the working commission, they may apply in any form to the healthcare committee. These complaints will be considered by a special commission. Before that, there was no such function.

From the act of recognition of the health worker infected or dead, who should be a working commission, also removed the requirement to evaluate the percentage of the medication as a percentage. Now the commission at the institution where the injured physician worked or has worked should only indicate the date of the disease and circumstances and the conditions under which their employee was infected.

Payments are still laid only for health workers who were infected with coronavirus due to assistance to patients with COVID-19.

Payments from the coronavirus were promised to medical workers in early April, but before that the procedure was not established by the victims. According to the adopted rules, the sick health workers have 300 thousand rubles, which received disability due to infection - 500 thousand rubles, and the families of the dead - 1 million rubles. For all these payments, the governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov allocated 30 million rubles.
