In early April, St. Petersburg journalist Sasha Bogino was hospitalized in early April with suspicion of pneumonia. She was lying in a hospital for war veterans for two weeks and kept a diary about the conditions in the hospital - she wrote about cockroaches in the wards and a lack of protective equipment from the medical staff.

Sasha handed over the Coronavirus test three times, she was informed only one result - he turned out to be negative. After the discharge, the journalist again passed the tests-and the Covid-19 was confirmed. She suggests that she was infected in the hospital. "Paper" talked with Sasha about the situation.

- I got to the hospital for veterans of wars on April 2 with temperature. From the 20th of March, I sat at home on self-isolation, literally once went into a neighboring store and throw out the garbage. After that, my temperature rose to 40 degrees.

I tried to call an ambulance, but I was told to drink Analgin and contact the district clinic. A district doctor came and said that I had a suspicion of pneumonia. She herself called an ambulance, and I was taken to a hospital for war veterans - to a neurological department, which was urgently re -profiled for pulmonology.

When I got there, a piece of paper was already hanging on the doors that the separation was closed to the coronavirus. The Health Committee announced that patients with Covid-19 were being accepted there much later, when I was already lying there (on April 6, the news appeared on the Komzdrav website that beds for patients with Covid-19 were deployed in the hospital-approx. “Papers” ).

They said that the day before I entered the hospital, all patients were discharged from the neurological urgently and began to bring people with high temperature and symptoms of SARS ( other patients also spoke about mass discharge - approx. “Papers”). But in general, they brought everyone in a row with high temperature. For example, a girl whose temperature rose due to chronic kidney problems.

My neighbor in the ward was an elderly woman who survived the blockade. She said that 30 years ago her husband died in this hospital, and since then everything has not changed much there. I willingly believe her. Firstly, there were a lot of cockroaches-it is not clear where to store and how to pack food so that they do not crawl along it. I still remember with a shudder.

They fed the hospital badly, even the department staff recognized this. The first days when I could still distinguish between tastes and smells, it was simply impossible to eat. Then, due to illness, I lost my appetite and stopped paying attention to the quality of food, as I just didn’t eat anything.

Shocked and in which doctors work. There are 70 patients on the plus minus, that is, dozens of people with suspicion of coronavirus are on nurses, nips and doctors. It was just terrible to look at them [health workers] in gauze masks and thin shining disposable overalls. When I was discharged [April 17], they said to observe self -isolation within two weeks. If you lie in the same department with people who have confirmed coronavirus, then you are contact. I got worse at home, and experts of Rospotrebnadzor came to me. They extended my self -isolation until May 4.

After discharge, the employees of the district clinic, who initially sent me to hospitalization, took me a test for coronavirus. Everyone always said that if the results of the analysis are negative, then they are not reported, and if positive, they call for three to four days.

I sat quietly at home, already for ten times I forgot that they took an analysis from me. And on May 6, when the period of self -isolation has already ended, they called me and said that I had a confirmed coronavirus. Of course, I was still sitting at home, because I was sick, but had every right not to do this. That is, I was waiting for the result for two weeks.

I don’t know where else I could get infected, [if not in the hospital]. Of course, there is a little probability that I could get sick when I went to the store [even before hospitalization], but I have little believe in it.

I can’t say that now I feel normal: Ivl does not need it, but with the breath of the problem. At times, a terrible shortness of breath appears, the temperature rises. Antibiotics are prescribed to me, but nothing changes. In the hospital, antibiotics poured me intravenously, put droppers, I felt bad, but in the end I felt much better.

I handed over the Koronavirus test again, just the other day, plus Rospotrebnadzor came and gave a new piece of paper on which I will sit on self -isolation until I have two negative tests for coronavirus.
