We continue the weekly Saturday shows of the plays of Ramt on the website of Novaya Gazeta. Today we publish the production “Fate of Electra” - the performance of the artistic director of the youth theater Alexei Borodin on the trilogy Eugene O'Nele.

“The fate of Electra” is a tragedy of a person’s clash with his own fate, the story of a family destroyed by passions, a story of love and revenge, hope and rock. In circumstances, of which there is no way out, the heroes of O'Nela are desperately trying to break out of fate, beyond themselves.

Ramt retained the form of the trilogy - the performance is in three actions. Especially for the production of Alexei Borodin, an original translation of the play was made.

Once the head of the clan Abe Mannon, out of jealousy, committed a crime against love. To erase the past, he destroys his house and builds a new one - then the history of each generation goes according to the same scenario ... desperate attempts to hide family secrets and make conscience give up new crimes.

Everything in this house is the doubles of each other, all the Avengers and killers. Unconsciously, they carry the spirit of death in themselves, attracted to her and run away from her.

Love knocks on the “Temple of Hate” repeatedly, but is it possible to start life again by crossing through death?
