In Kuzbass, a court arrested a student for 10 days in connection with the publication of a swastika on VKontakte.

On May 15, the Kirovsky District Court in Kemerovo ordered 10 days of arrest for 18-year-old student Vladislav Koretsky under an article on the publication of Nazi symbols (part 1 of article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). This is reported by the publication "Taiga.info" with reference to Koretsky's friends.

According to the court order, from February 2016 to January 2017, Koretsky published posts containing images of the swastika.

Koretsky did not deny posting, but stated that he did not want to distribute symbols and “asked not to severely punish,” Taiga.info reports. “These [posts] were against the swastika, but who will read,” said the student’s friends.

• On November 19, 2019, the State Duma adopted an amendment to the law on liability for displaying Nazi symbols. In particular, it states that a demonstration is possible provided that it does not constitute propaganda or justify the crimes of Nazi Germany.
