More than 9 thousand Siberians infected coronavirus

The number of coronavirus is growing rapidly in the regions of Siberia. Against this background, federal authorities declare a decrease in the growth rate of the number of infected ones.

In Russia, 8926 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed. Among the Siberian regions, the greatest increase was recorded in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the federal operational headquarters said.

During the day in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, 107 diagnoses were confirmed, in the Omsk region - 65, in the Altai Territory - 45, in Khakassia - 24, in the Tomsk region - 18, in the Kemerovo - seven, in the Republic of Altai - three.

The regional headquarters in Transbaikalia announced the infection of 45 inhabitants, in the government of Tuva - about 52 sick.

Earlier it became known about the new cases of infection in the Novosibirsk (+71), Irkutsk (+95) regions and Buryatia (+25).

Thus, the number of coronavirus in the regions of Siberia reached 9109. It is known about 88 deaths. In Russia, more than 290.6 thousand cases of infection are registered (plus 8926 per day). 2722 people died, more than 70 thousand recovered.

The country entered the second in the world in the number of those who sick after the United States, but the mortality officially declared by the authorities is much lower than in other states. Against this background, Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to remove the federal regime of “non -working days” from May 12, transferring all the same restrictions to the level of regions.
