You cannot manage a fictional country

This is a fiction that the larger the lies, the more effective it is. At a short distance, Goebbels strategy works, and fiasco endures on medium -term. The larger the lies, the more traces it leaves. And thereby more negative consequences. Among them are the funniest - this is when the liars themselves begin to believe in their lies, and in the end, reinforcing their lies with their actions, they begin to rule the country invented by them, forcing them to obey their nonsense of the real country.

I repeat: it works at a short distance and during the periods relatively prosperous, if most of the citizens do not feel personal damage from this lies and, on the contrary, finds something attractive in it. Many people like caricature images of fictional enemies. Others are excited when they constantly get something about their greatness, etc. But in the crisis, everything rushes out, even what they are trying to hide.

Firstly, the old lies always begin to be exposed in the crisis. Now this is already happening to us when fairy tales are falling on our financial power and health. Secondly, the information that we had before is overestimated in the crisis. For example, now we are different about the beggarly salaries and general underfunding in medicine, as well as an avalanche of hospitals closed in 20 years. And thirdly, the crisis, especially such a large-scale and complex, like today, multiplies the negative consequences of any lies and exposes it, because at such a moment people are much less tolerant of lies and do not allow it to hide it. And the further, the more it is rooted and affects us.

And, I repeat, it is impossible to control on the basis of your own lies. This leads to an apparently sliding from errors to crimes. Good all this will not end. Well, for example, we do not have systematic data on the deaths from coronavirus in the armed forces. There are only scattered leaks. But it is difficult to doubt that the state will encounter a dilemma to the next call - either declare an expanded call, canceling certain benefits for the release from the call, or weaken “combat readiness”. In the first case, society will stir up. In the second - the army. And this is only one of the thousands of problems that you have to face. Far from the most difficult.

Oh, it will not end with good. I do not presume to predict who will become a burial to this regime - a society or a group of conspirators. I will not venture to guess who and for what the current government will judge. But they will judge. Sure. Including - for intentional lies in an organized group with aggravating consequences, associated with a large number of victims.
