The head of the Karelian Ministry of Health explained the death of a patient with coronavirus as a “deviant lifestyle”

The Minister of Health of Karelia, Mikhail Okhlopkov , wrote on VKontakte that a patient with coronavirus died from pathologies due to a “deviant lifestyle”, and not from an infection.

“The patient suffered from disorders of brain and motor functions due to a deviant lifestyle. According to doctors, death occurred from these pathologies, not from COVID-19 ,” Okhlopkov said.

In total, in his opinion, two people died from coronavirus in the republic. According to official data, the number of infected has reached 241.
