Nurses of the Buryat observatory spoke about the attack of patients; the police refused to respond to the call

Nurses at the Buryat observatory in the village of Sotnikovo spoke about the attack of patients. This was reported on the Instagram page of the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital of Buryatia.

The publication states that on May 16, citizens returning from China were placed in the observatory. They “showed dissatisfaction” due to forced isolation and living conditions, they specified in the post. Patients threatened staff and “broke hospital property,” they claim on Instagram.

“They started attacking us, throwing stones, calling us all sorts of names, swearing at us,” recalls one of the nurses. The second noted that medical staff have to walk for five to six hours in protective suits, which make it difficult to breathe. “He ran after us, threw at us. We ran through the forest in these suits, he ran after us,” the nurse said.

As noted in the message, the observatory staff “repeatedly informed law enforcement agencies,” but the police decided to draw up a report “remotely.”

Two days after their arrival, those arriving from China were transferred to another hospital. The Minister of Health of Buryatia, Evgenia Ludupova, assured that now the police will come to the observatory, but they need to be provided with protective suits, the publication added. In a statement, the hospital insists that doctors were previously ready to provide police officers with protective equipment.
