The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard for five years allocated more than 7 billion rubles for the purchase of special equipment for the dispersal of rallies

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian Guard allocated at least 7.3 billion rubles in 2015 for the purchase of special equipment and techniques for acceleration of protesters. This was reported in the report of "Apology of Protest".

According to the study, for five years, the Russian Guard and the police entered into contracts for the purchase of water interference and gaze sprayers of 850 million rubles and another 30.5 million rubles were allocated for these special equipment this year. Also, since 2015, law enforcement agencies allocated 1.5 billion rubles for stamps, 410 million rubles for anti -shift shields, 70.5 million rubles for grenade launchers.

The most expensive purchase over the years was the acquisition of armored special vehicles with a system of integrated non -lethal effects - 4.4 billion rubles. It is noted that most of the special equipment according to the Law “On Police” cannot be used on non-violent shares, and the use of water interference in Russia is difficult due to weather conditions.
