"House of House of House": about 50 old people and disabled people can be on the street due to the lack of money for renting

Due to the measures introduced as part of the fight against coronavirus, about 50 wards of shelters for homeless “House of House of Hardness” may be on the street. This was reported by the MBH Media by the organizer of the network of shelters Emil Sosinsky.

“It all started with unemployment, as a result of quarantine measures, almost all construction sites closed. Our working houses, where able -bodied houses live, contain not only themselves, but all the elderly, disabled people, women and children. We have 80% of the budget that contains all houses - the earnings of our working houses. Now, in view of this whole situation, everything collapsed, ”said Sosinsky.

In April, the shelters worked for the remaining funds, in May - on donations. According to Sosinsky, the donors “committed a feat”, collecting a record 3 million rubles. However, this amount is enough for the maintenance of shelters only within a month.

Sosinsky believes that it will not be possible to collect the same amount again. Therefore, the network of shelters asked the landlords three times to reduce the rent. Two houses could not do this because of the downstream. In one of these houses, workers live, they will be able to resettle in other houses. In the second house, pensioners and disabled people live, who will no longer be able to place.

“They cannot climb onto the upper tier of the bed, on the second floor. The situation with people with disabilities is very difficult. We turned the whole month, maybe someone of their philanthropists will give us some kind of house. One philanthropist was able to give us two premises, but they need a major overhaul. There are premises, but people with disabilities cannot live there. Either we will urgently find what to repair these premises for, or someone will offer us something ready, or 50 old people and disabled people who, in this house, may have to go outside, ”said Sosinsky.
