Wilson Roosevelt Jerman, a former White House butler who served under 11 US presidents, has died. This was announced to Fox 5 by his granddaughter Jamila Garett.
German was 91 years old. He died on May 16th. The cause of death was coronavirus.
German served in the White House for 55 years, from 1957 to 2012. He started out as a janitor. He was promoted to butler by Jacqueline Kennedy, wife of President John F. Kennedy.
