Updated. Simultaneously with the abolition of passes, the Moscow Region introduces fines for the lack of a protective mask in public places. Governor Andrey Vorobyov announced this on the air of Rossiya 1, Interfax reports . The fines were supposed to be effective from May 12, as in Moscow, but the Moscow region has postponed their entry into force.
Since May 23, electronic passes have been canceled in the Moscow Region, Governor Andrey Vorobyov said on his Instagram.
“If you go to Moscow, already issued passes will be valid until May 27, and for new trips from Tuesday you need to issue them to mos.ru. In the capital, there is a different population density, so the measure is still being maintained there, ”he wrote.
According to Vorobyov, the access system "and other measures" helped "to avoid a negative scenario."
