The Victory Parade in Russia will take place on June 24

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the postponement of the Victory Parade to June 24, RIA Novosti reports .

Putin instructed to begin preparations for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu must ensure “the strictest security regime and minimize risks.”

The President noted that it is still impossible to maintain social distance during the Immortal Regiment march, so it is planned to be held on July 26, after the Navy parade.
The Victory Day parade was traditionally supposed to take place on May 9, but it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The organizing committee for preparations for the celebration of Victory Day in early April asked the government to refrain from inviting people over 65 years of age to these celebrations, including veterans of the Great Patriotic War, in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Veteran organizations asked Putin about the same thing.
