Sobyanin asked Muscovites to observe a “self-preservation regime” until a vaccine appears

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that in Moscow, residents will be required to observe a “self-preservation mode” until a vaccine against COVID-19 is available. What kind of regime this is, the mayor did not explain, saying only that this is not self-isolation, since “people should not live locked up all this time.”

“When we understand that we have completely overcome this situation, we will remove all restrictions. But I'm afraid that the regime of self-preservation and sanitary restrictions will last a long time before we get a vaccine. But this does not mean that people should live locked up all this time. No, we should live normally: go shopping, talk to each other, go for walks, but comply with elementary requirements, which are an axiom in many countries," Sobyanin said.

From June 1, Muscovites will have the opportunity to play sports on the street, visit dry cleaners, laundries, repair shops, and also walk, but not freely, but according to the rules established by the authorities. Moscow residents will walk according to the schedule (depending on the house number), which will be presented on the website of the city government in the form of an “interactive map” on May 29.
