Rospotrebnadzor found violations at Leroy Merlin after complaints from the network's competitors
The Moscow department of Rospotrebnadzor found violations of sanitary legislation in Leroy Merlin stores. This was reported to Vedomosti by a representative of the department.
In April, the network did not close, despite the quarantine.
Rospotrebnadzor began an unscheduled inspection. What kind of violations are we talking about, the source of Vedomosti did not say.
Whether the violations are related to the rules established due to the coronavirus epidemic, he recommended asking the Moscow Department of Trade. They did not respond to Vedomosti's request.
Leroy Merlin is not aware of the inspection of Rospotrebnadzor, the company has not received any requests from the department, a representative of the network told Vedomosti.
In April, Leroy Merlin's operating stores were outraged by the network's competitors, in particular, Hoff and OBI. Leroy Merlin explained that the stores were not closed, as they also sell essential goods. After statements from the heads of competing chains, Leroy Merlin stores in Moscow were temporarily closed.
Now on the Leroy Merlin website, the start banner says that stores in Moscow and the Moscow region have opened.
