The US has severed relations with the World Health Organization

The United States has severed ties with the World Health Organization (WHO), US President Donald Trump has announced. It is reported by Reuters.

According to Trump, the WHO failed to implement the "required reforms". The money that the United States sponsored the WHO, Washington will redirect to other organizations, Trump added.

In his opinion, the organization is completely controlled by China, "despite the fact that it pays only 40 million dollars a year," while the United States - 450 million annually (cited by CNBC ).
