The leader in the number of confirmed cases remain the United States, where the number of identified infected people exceeded 1.74 million people. Brazil came to the second place, where the number of infections exceeded 465 thousand. The WHO said that South America became the new epicenter of coronavirus. In total, more than 2.6 million infections were recorded in Latin America. The region has already overtaken Europe and the United States on the daily growth of identified infections.
