The night from Saturday to Sunday became the USA in the USA on the fifth night of protests, in a number of cities growing into riots and clashes with the police.
US President Donald Trump accuses the mayor of Minneapolis Jacob Frey of inability to take control of the situation in the city that the mayor is managing, and threatens the rebels with severe pacification. Large -scale protests, accompanied by street riots, took place in addition to Minneapolis in seven cities of the United States, including at the White House in Washington. They broke out due to the police officer who brought to the death of the African American, who was charged with the murder the day before.
On Saturday, in more than 20 American cities in many states, the authorities introduced a commandant hour, to ensure which the National Guard was involved. In addition to Minneapolis, we are talking about Atlanta, Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Denver, Miami. Protects and clashes continue, despite the commandant hour. The police use tear gas and rubber bullets.
On the evening of Monday, May 25 (in America this day was a weekend on the occasion of the day of commemoration), in Minneapolis, Minnesota, a police patrol detained African American George Floyd. The police reacted to the call of the seller of the diner, who said that Floyd paid for a pack of cigarettes of a fake 20-dollar bill. Having found a fake, the seller ran out of the shop. Floyd and his companion sat in a car parked around the corner. The seller demanded to return cigarettes, but Floyd refused to do this. The teenage seller did not argue with a 46-year-old man two meters tall. He returned for the counter and called the police. According to his testimony, Floyd was drunk and did not control his behavior. Eyewitnesses claim that the bill was clearly false.
Arriving at the scene, the outfit put handcuffs on Floyd, brought to the patrol car, where he put it with a stomach on the ground. The police protocol indicates that the detainee was resisted, but in the video recordings made by observers it is clear that he did not resist. One of the policemen, Derek Shovin, came Floyd with a knee on the neck and fell on with all his weight, overwhelming his breath. On the videos you can hear Floyd begs to let him go, screams that he cannot breathe.
Congress Member Democrat Maxine Waters believes that Shovin received sadistic pleasure from these torment.
I think that the policeman, when he stepped on his neck, enjoyed what he did ... He was not worried that he was photographed. And the police, who stood nearby and watched, are guilty to the same extent as him.
Despite the calls of numerous passers -by, Shovin did not take off his knee from the neck of Floyd for almost nine minutes, of which about three minutes - after the detainee stopped showing signs of life. The ambulance caused by the patrol took Floyd to the hospital, where he died, without regaining consciousness. According to the official conclusion, the cause of death was a strangulation ("traumatic asphyxiation"), complicated by coronary failure and hypertension cardiomyopathy.
The video recordings of the incident are rapidly spread through social networks. The next morning, a memorial action took place at the scene of Floyd's death. The crowd quickly grown, became uncontrollable and moved to the police officer, where the police who took part in the detention of Floyd serve. Protesters began to throw stones into the site of the site, defeated several windows. The police responded with traumatic weapons and tear gas.
The next day, the mass riots burst out with renewed vigor. There were reports of store robberies. Fires flashed. On Thursday, the crowd captured and set fire to the ill -fated police station.

Someone shot on the video how he himself robs the rest of the pharmacy in Target. The other was removed how he was trying to open a safe with a hammer.
President Trump was indignant at the softness of the city authorities and demanded stiffness from them, threatening to restore order with the help of regular troops.
It was necessary to act tougher. It was necessary to show firmness and thereby honor the memory of George Floyd. It was impossible to give it to. When I saw the policemen who is led by the mayor, perhaps a very good person, but this is a radically left -handed mayor when I saw how the police scattered from a police station, so the site was thrown and captured - I realized that I had never seen anything worse and stupid, I have never seen anything worse. And then I see how they try to justify their behavior. Listen, they had to behave hard, behave smartly. Our military is ready, they have a desire and opportunities, if only they are called. We can transfer the troops to the place very quickly if the local authorities wish this. They, as you know, are already using their national guard. We can provide the army very quickly. We must act hard. We must act firmly. We must make yourself respect. Because these people are antifa, radical left rubbish.
The mayor of Minneapolis Jacob Frey said at a press conference that there was no flight from the site-the police left the building by his disposal.
The danger was inevitable, and I decided to evacuate the site. The symbolic meaning of the building cannot outweigh the importance of saving life, our police or our citizens. We cannot put anyone under the blow, and we continue to patrol the entire territory of this site. We will continue to fulfill our duties there. Bricks and construction solution are not as important as life.
One of the journalists quoted him the next president’s entry on Twitter:
I canon Stand Back & Watch This Happen to a Great American City, Minneapolis. A Total Lack of Leadership. Either the Very Weak Radical Left Mayor, Jacob Frey, Get His Act Together and Bring the City Under Control, Or I Will Send in the National Guard & Get Done Right .....
- Donald J. Trump (@realdonaldtrump) May 29, 2020
.... Thugs Are Dishonoring the Memory of George Floyd, and I Wonmet Let that Happen. Just Spoke to Governor Tim Walz and Told Him that Military Is with Him All the Way. Any Difficulty and We Will Assum Control But, When The Looting Starts, The Shooting Starts. To you!
- Donald J. Trump (@realdonaldtrump) May 29, 2020
I cannot stay away and observe what is happening in the beautiful American city of Minneapolis. The complete lack of leadership. Or a very weak left -winged mayor Jacob Frey will gather strength and take control of the city, or I will send the national guard and end this. This punks offends George Floyd's memory, and I will not admit it. I just talked with the Governor of Tim Walz and told him that the military was at his disposal. Any complications - and we will take control. When robberies begin, shooting begins.
The second of these tweets, the moderator of the social network marked as "glorifying violence" and hid it, but did not delete, given the public interest. You can read it by pressing the "View" button.
Jacob Frey answered the president like this:
Weakness is when they refuse to take responsibility for their actions. Weakness is at the time of the crisis to look for the guilty among others. Donald Trump knows nothing about the hardness of Minneapolis. We are extremely firm. Do we have a difficult period? Yes. But be sure: we can handle it.
In addition to Minneapolis and the neighboring St. Pola, protest promotions, accompanied by street riots, took place in Phoenix, Denver, Louisville, Memphis, Columbus and New York.
On Friday and Saturday, noisy manifestations took place in Washington at the White House. The US Secret Service reported that she arrested six protesters.

The secret service report says:
Protesters repeatedly tried to overturn the barriers to Pennsylvania Avenue. None of them hit the fence of the White House, none of the secret service was stolen. Some of the demonstrators showed aggression, attacked the secretary service employees using bricks, stones, bottles, firecrackers and other objects. Many secret employees, both dressed in uniforms and special agents in civilian clothes, were injured due to these acts of violence.
Donald Trump welcomed the secret service on Twitter and criticized the inaction of the Washington city police.
Great Job Last Night at the White House by the US @secretService . They Were note Totally Professional, But Very Cool. I WAS Inside, Watched EVERY MOVE, and COULDNIT HAVE FELT MORE SAFE. They Let the “Protesteers” Scream & Rant as Much As the Wanted, But Whenver Someone ....
- Donald J. Trump (@realdonaldtrump) May 30, 2020
The secret service did an excellent job in the White House last night. They were not only absolutely professional, but also calm. I was inside, watched every step and felt in complete safety. They allowed the “protesters” to scream and rant as much as they wanted, but when someone was too furious or went on a line, they quickly brought him to his senses-I don’t know what they influenced them ... a large crowd, professionally organized, but no one risked breaking through the turn of the fence. If they tried, they would be met by the most ferocious dogs and the most formidable weapon that I just saw ... The nasty news is that the mayor of the Columbia County Muriel Bauser, who always asks for money and help, did not tell the district police to intervene - they say, this is "not their work." Charming!
Muriel Bauser was not silent.
My Police Department Will Always Protect DC and All Whels IT HETHER I AGREE WITH THEM (SUCH AS THEISE EXERCISING THEIR FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHT) OR (Namely, @realdonaldtrump ) ...
- Muriel Bowser #stayhomedc Lite (@murielbowser) May 30, 2020
My police department will always protect the district of Colombia and everyone who is on its territory, regardless of whether I agree with them (as, for example, those who realize their right in accordance with the first amendment * ) or not (namely, with Donald Trump). While he was one shyly hiding behind his fence, I stood with people who peacefully exercised their right - according to the first amendment - after the murder of George Floyd and hundreds of years of institutional racism. There are no ferocious dogs and formidable weapons there. There is only a frightened person.
(* The first amendment to the Constitution guarantees citizens freedom of speech, assembly and filing petitions to the government.)
Finally, the mayor of the Columbia district quoted Martin Luther King:
"We, my friends, have no more choice between violence and non -power. Now this is a choice between non -power and non -existence."
All four police officers who took part in the detention of George Floyd are removed from service until the end of the official audit. Derek Shovin was arrested. He was charged with unintentional murder and random murder, perfect as a result of unlawful actions.
