Another 71 patients with coronavirus died in Moscow

Over the past 24 hours, 71 patients with pneumonia and a positive test result for coronavirus have died in Moscow, the operational headquarters reports .

Thus, the total number of victims of infection in the capital reached 2624. The record number of deaths of patients with COVID-19 in Moscow was on May 30, when 78 people died. Since the beginning of the epidemic, 183 thousand cases of infection have been detected in the capital, more than 82 thousand people have already recovered.

Last week, the Moscow Department of Health reported that the number of coronavirus victims in April could be adjusted from 639 to 1,561. It was decided to add to the initial data people whose cause of death was most likely an infection, even with a negative test result. In addition, the authorities have identified patients in whom COVID-19 caused fatal complications of the underlying disease.
