• Today, several cardboard figures of Azar appeared at different points of Moscow: near the building of the Council of Deputies of Khamovnikov, at the Tverskaya police department, at the Tver court, near the city hall, at the Moscow City Duma, and in the evening at the building of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where single pickets were held in support of Ilya Azar.
• On May 28, Ilya Azar, journalist and municipal deputy of the Khamovniki district, was arrested for 15 days for a picket in support of the author of the public Police Ombudsman and in support of the activist Nemetov, detained for the same picket. Azara was found guilty of repeated violation of the rules of the action (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). On the same day, journalists and activists went to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in support of Ilya Azar. InMoscow, 22 people were detained at the GIF -Petersburg State Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and St. Petersburg . The next day, May 29, activists in different cities went to single pickets with the slogans “Picket Not a Crime”, “Freedom Ilya Azar”. According to the ATS-INFO, 42 people were detained in Moscow and St. Petersburg. On single pickets on May 30, 15 people were detained in support of Azar in Moscow. Activists went to pickets on June 1.
