Human rights activists asked the SK and the Prosecutor General’s Office to check for extremism the RIA Fan video on amendments to the Constitution

The LGBT group “Incredul” filed applications to the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to verify the extremism of the campaign video for amendments to the Constitution, which issued the Federal News Agency (RIA FAN). This was announced by MBH Media by the senior lawyer of the Inflaboration Anton Ryzhov.

“We sent to the Investigative Committee first of all, because we believe extremism there, that is, fraction of enmity in relation to the social group, the LGBT social group, this is 282 article of the Criminal Code. Not one person tried over this video, so we believe that it is a criminal offense here, and not administrative responsibility. Then we sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office, because they have the right to apply with the appropriate submission to other bodies, including Roskomnadzor, demanding that this video and its distribution block. We believe that anti -discrimination legislation is violated here, as we indicated, Article 19 of the Constitution guarantees the equality of everyone regardless of belonging to any social group, ”Ryzhov said.

He added that the group turned to Roskomnadzor demanding to block the video and will seek a video ban on large social networks, and also contact Google Russia demanding to remove the video from YouTube, "block this information as violating legislation."

Human rights activists are convinced that the video publicly excites hatred and enmity to a group of people on the basis of belonging to the social group of LGBT, "humiliates the dignity of a person, is frankly discriminatory in nature."

A video of RIA FAN appeared on the network, according to the plot of which the Russian homosexual couple adopts a child, which, according to the authors, must be avoided by voting for amendments to the Constitution. Actor Alexander Filimonenko told MBH Media that he did not know about the content of the script.

On March 14, Vladimir Putin signed the law on amendments to the Constitution. We are talking about more than 40 changes. In particular, the main law of the country is proposed to prescribe the priority of the Constitution over international law, as well as remove the word “contract” from the norm, which allows citizens to be elected by the president for no more than two terms. Also in the Constitution there will be amendments on faith in God (which the Russians were transferred to the “ancestors”), the consolidation of the institution of marriage as the union of a man and a woman (the state will take the responsibilities of protecting it) and a ban on “diminishing the meaning of the people in the protection of the Fatherland”.
