The Ministry of Internal Affairs asked to prohibit Varvara Karaulova from leaving her house at night until 2029

The department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow district of Kuntsevo asked the court to establish until April 27, 2029, administrative supervision over Varvara Karaulova, who was convicted in the case of trying to join the Islamic State. This was reported to TASS by lawyer Sergei Badamshin.

The Kuntsevskaya police ask that Karaulova, as part of administrative supervision, be banned from being outside the house from 22:00 to 06:00 Moscow time, if this is not related to work.

Supervision also implies a mandatory appearance at the police department twice a month. The Kuntsevsky court will consider the police statement on June 4.

• Varvara Karaulova, a Moscow State University student, was sentenced to four and a half years in 2016 in a case of attempting to join terrorists. In April 2019, she was released on parole.
