The Zheleznovodsk City Court sentenced the protest participant in 2019 in Magasa Rezwan Ozdoev by 1 year and 7 months in prison in a general regime colony. This was reported by the press service of the human rights center "Memorial".

Ozdoyev was released in the courtroom. The court took the time, which a rally participant in Ingushetia, under the period of serving a sentence, spent under arrest since May 2019.
In the verdict, the court indicated that Ozdoev acted from the motive for “political enmity” to Yunus Bek Evkurov, the former head of Ingushetia.
In February 2020, the court granted the petition of Oddov’s lawyer Kyazim Atabiev to initiate a criminal case against an employee of the Russian Guard, who threw a chair at the protesters at a rally in Magas.
Rezvan Ozdoev was in custody since May 14, 2019. In September, the accusation against him was retrained from violence that is dangerous to health (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code), not dangerous (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, Ozdoev tried to “prevent the official activity” of the security forces and threw a chair into him. The victim, according to the indictment, “did not receive bodily harm,” but “experienced pain”.
In connection with the rally in Magas, the UK initiated a criminal case on the calls to the riots (part 3 of article 212 of the Criminal Code) and the use of violente dangerous to the life and health of violence (part 2 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). In it, according to the human rights center "Memorial", at least 44 defendants were listed , with respect to 3 of them, criminal prosecution was stopped.
In September 2018, the authorities of Ingushetia and Chechny signed an agreement on changing the border between the republics, after which protests began in Ingushetia. On March 26, 2019, about 10 thousand people entered the rally in Magas. About two thousand protesters remained on the square for the whole night. In the morning they began to disperse them, as a result of which clashes occurred between the security forces and the protesters.
