Witnesses of defense in the case of Shaman Gabyshev were detained in Yakutia

In Yakutsk near the building of the city court, where today a meeting on the forced hospitalization of the shaman Alexander Gabyshev should be held, three defense witnesses were detained. One of the detainees - the blogger of Sergei Tikho - was taken away by the ambulance. During the detention, he was pushed, he fell and lost consciousness, Myraan said.

Today, the court must consider the lawsuit on the forced hospitalization of Gabyshev, which was filed by the Republican Psychoneurological Dispensary. The lawsuit states that the shaman, who last year went to Moscow to conduct the "rite of Putin's exile", suffers from "reassessing his personality."

The mayor of Yakutsk, Sardan Avksentiev, opposed the persecution of the Yakut shaman Alexander Gabyshev, which she called "electoral punisha by one person with an unhappy fate." In her opinion, today, practice may be revived in Yakut Justice, when the “reassessment of personality” of any person can be directed for compulsory treatment, the mayor of Yakutsk wrote on Instagram, while emphasizing that he does not have the right to intervene in the work of healthcare institutions, police or courts.

At the end of May, the medical commission of the neuropsychiatric dispensary in Yakutia issued an opinion on the danger of Alexander Gabyshev for himself and others.

On May 28, Gabysheva’s lawyer Olga Timofeeva filed a lawsuit in the Yakut city court with a demand to recognize his forced hospitalization illegal. The lawsuit also contains the requirement to free Gabyshev. According to her, on May 12, the shaman was detained without any legal basis. The court hearing for this claim is scheduled for June 3.

Earlier, lawyers who help the Yakut shaman Alexander Gabyshev filed a lawsuit in the European Court of Human Rights.
