In the Primorsky Territory, a large -scale system of video recording of offenses related to violation of the self -isolation regime began to work. The system, including 500 cameras and dozens of operators, is launched in six cities, including Vladivostok. This was reported by the regional government.
With the help of cameras, the authorities intend to find and punish people who violate the rules of self -isolation - wearing a mask, observing the distance. They intend to follow only public places where a massive cluster of people is possible: squares, markets, squares, public transport stops, shopping centers, sports grounds, educational institutions and so on.
"All video cameras are equipped with an intellectual video analytics system - in automatic mode, all illegal actions are fixed in the field of view, biometry technology allows you to recognize faces even in masks and glasses," the specialists of the Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of the Primorsky Territory explained.
The regional government assured that the system would not write out fines automatically, this will happen in manual mode. Operators will send photos and data of the identified violators to the police, and law enforcement officers will decide on the receipt of fines.
In local social networks, the new system has already been called "Big Brother." In the region, several people have been fined for violating the self -isolation regime. Residents of Primorye are sure that with the introduction of video recording mode, the number of fines, including disputed ones, will increase sharply.
