The administration of US President Donald Trump intends to suspend flights of four Chinese passenger airlines to the country starting June 16.
The ban will affect Air China, China Eastern Airlines, China Southern Airlines and Xiamen Airlines, the Associated Press reports, citing the US Department of Transportation.
This will be a US response to the actions of the Chinese authorities, which do not allow the American companies United Airlines and Delta Air Lines to restore flights to China in full. Flights by US carriers were reduced in early 2020 due to the development of coronavirus infection.
