More than 20 thousand Siberians fell ill with coronavirus

The total number of coronavirus sick in Siberia exceeded 20.3 thousand people. At least 212 inhabitants died.

The total number of sick in Siberia reached 20388, follows from the data of operational headquarters. It is known about 212 deaths of patients (43 in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, 34 in the Novosibirsk Region, 26 - in the Irkutsk region, 22 in the Altai Territory and Transbaikalia, 20 in the Omsk region, 14 in the Tomsk region, 10 in Khakassia and Buryatia, seven in Kuzbass, four in Tuva).

In total, according to official figures, 432.27 thousand people fell ill in Russia. 5215 died, recovered 195.9 thousand. The country reached third in the world in the number of sick, but the mortality officially declared by the authorities is much lower than in other countries with a similar number of sick people.

Against this background, Russian President Vladimir Putin decided to remove the federal regime of “non-working days” from May 12, transferring all the restrictions on the level of the regions, and also announced on June 24 the parade in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Putin also appointed “all -Russian voting” on a change in the Constitution on July 1, which will allow him to run for president until 2036.
