Authorities returned children to a resident of an Orenburg village who had been forcibly removed without a court decision.

The Orenburg Commission on Minors' Affairs returned four children to Alena Lichtenvald, a resident of the village of Tulipny, who had been forcibly taken away by police and guardianship officials without a court decision. This is reported on the regional government website.

The children were seized from Lichtenwald on behalf of the head of the Dombarovsky district, Valery Shvindt. He made this decision due to “refusal of medical examinations, treatment and vaccinations, and lack of normal sanitary conditions” in the family, the press release says.

The mother did not want to give up the children, and the policeman handcuffed her. The visit of guardianship officials was caught on video. After this, the head of the region, Denis Pasler, ordered to “understand the situation in detail.” As a result, the decision to remove the children was canceled.

The day before, July 3, Pasler fired the head of the Dombarovsky district. A criminal case was opened for negligence (Article 293 of the Criminal Code).
