The State Duma deputy from Yakutia Fedot Tumusov asked the General of Russia General Igor Krasnov to intervene in the case of the Yakut shaman Alexander Gabyshev, who was forcibly hospitalized in a neuropsychiatric dispensary. Tumusov reported this to Kommersant.
According to the deputy, "the great doubts of the competence of the Commission" and compliance with all the norms during the trial cause. "Residents of Yakutia are outraged by this loud business," Tumusov told the publication.
With a request to verify the correctness of assessing the mental state of the Yakut shaman Alexander Gabyshev and the legality of the premises of his psychiatric clinic turned to the Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko deputy of the State Duma from United Russia, psychiatrist Boris Mendelevich.
He noted the serious public resonance and inconsistency of information distributed in the media about the involuntary hospitalization of Alexander Gabyshev. In this regard, there is a situation in which accusations of psychiatrists in punitiveness and selectivity sounds, ”the deputy believes.
The leader of the Communist Party in Yakutia, Viktor Gubarev, said that the questions for the examination, who recognized Gabyshev as insane, "more than to the shaman itself."
Earlier in support of Gabyshev, the mayor of Yakutsk Sardan Avksentiev spoke. She called the pursuit of the shaman "electoral punishment."
The court made the decision on the enforcement hospitalization of Gabyshev on June 2. At the same time, the shaman has been in the dispensary since mid -May. At the end of May, the medical commission of the neuropsychiatric dispensary issued an opinion on the danger of shaman Alexander Gabyshev for himself and others. This happened after he filed an application addressed to the head doctor about the rejection of further hospitalization.
The court decision does not indicate the term of enforcement hospitalization of Gabyshev. The act on his state of health only states that he suffers from "re -evaluating his personality" and the fact that he "called for the overthrow of legally chosen authorities."
The shaman’s defense plans to appeal the decision on the forced hospitalization of Gabyshev.
