Mikhail Efremov was sent under house arrest

The Tagansky District Court of Moscow sent actor Mikhail Efremov under house arrest for two months, Interfax reports.

Efremov was charged under part 4 of article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death of a person by negligence).

“Efremov, when asked by journalists whether he admits guilt for an accident in which a person died, nodded his head,” reports . RIA Novosti

The defendant himself agrees with the measure of restraint. “It all happened horribly. I do not object to house arrest, ”Efremov said.

• On the evening of June 8, Mikhail Efremov, who was in a state of intoxication, drove a Jeep Grand Cherokee into the oncoming lane of the Garden Ring near the Foreign Ministry building in Moscow and collided with a Lada van and other cars. The driver of the van was seriously injured and died in the hospital.
• The driver's wife said that she would not go to peace with the actor, in her opinion, he should be in prison, adds RIA Novosti . According to her, neither Efremov's relatives nor representatives contacted her.
