The court fined nine participants in protests against the construction of the South-Eastern Expressway

The Nagatinsky District Court fined nine protesters against the construction of the South-Eastern Expressway on the site of a radioactive burial ground. It is reported by MBH Media.

All activists were found guilty of disobeying the demands of government officials (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) and fined 1,000 rubles.

“Everyone was considered by the flow. The court gave a completely wrong qualification of what was happening. They were accused of allegedly refusing to comply with legal requirements, allegedly some kind of assembly. The demands of the police were completely illegal, they did not show us any documents for the construction site, until now it does not go there where we stood. There was no rally or meeting there, ”the publication reports the words of Dmitry Saraev, a member of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation.

On August 18, the Moscow City Court upheld the decision of the Nagatinskiy Court on a fine of 1,000 rubles to Dmitry Satanovsky and Dmitry Saraev, who were found guilty of disobeying the demands of government officials (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). • On June 8, the court fined 13 eco-activists for the same amount under the same article. On June 3, the court fined three more participants in this action.
• On March 19, 2020, Buimov, Efanov, Kamensky and 60 other people were detained at the Moskvorechye railway platform. Environmental activists opposed the construction of the South-Eastern Expressway on the territory of the radioactive burial ground. In the wake of the protests, law enforcement officers opened a criminal case on damage to the property of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise Radon, which is engaged in radiation monitoring, removal and transportation of radioactive waste from the construction site.
