
On June 18, the lecture “Russian Artists and Theater” will be broadcast at the online platforms of the Museum of Russian Impressionism. The lecture will be given by the art critic, the coordinator of the exhibition projects Daria Urova.
The broadcast will begin at 13:00 on social networks ( Facebook and VKontakte ) and on the YouTube channel of the Museum of Russian Impressionism. Particular attention will be paid to artists whose work is presented in the museum exposition.
At the turn of the XIX - XX centuries, the scenery from masters of painting made a revolution in theatrical decoration art, and the organizers of the lecture recall . The Russian theater was a platform for experiments, and new “places of power” appeared on the cultural map of the country - the Komissarzhevskaya Art Theater and theater. Impresario and philanthropists competed not only for talented artists, but also tried to attract contemporary artists to the staging.
