A case was opened against four Astrakhan Jehovah's Witnesses. They were arrested

In Astrakhan, Jehovah's Witness Sergei Klikunov was placed under arrest on charges of organizing the activities of an extremist organization (Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code). This was reported on a website covering the persecution of believers.

The case against Klikunov and believers Rustam Diarov, Evgeniy and Olga Ivanov was opened on June 8. The next day, a series of searches were carried out in the city. It is unknown where the Diarovs and the Ivanovas, detained during the searches, are.

Diarov and Ivanov are also charged under Part 1 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code. Ivanova is charged with participation in an extremist organization (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code).
