Pskov: Doctors were forbidden to accept the funds from philanthropists

The Governor of the Pskov Region Mikhail Vedernikov called on doctors not to accept personal protective equipment directly from philanthropists or "persons who act under the guise of philanthropists." He stated this at a meeting with doctors, writes Pskov Province.

According to the head of the region, it is “extremely unacceptable” to accept personal protective equipment without agreement with the healthcare committee. It is also not recommended to let strangers into hospitals and other medical facilities. Vedernikov added that such SIZs can be defective or expired.

Earlier, the Pskov branch of the Yabloko party organized a charity collection of funds for the purchase of personal protective equipment for doctors working with coronavirus patients. In early June, the party members handed over to the employees of the Pskov ambulance station 50 sets of protective half -males with double filters of the maximum protection class FFP3 and panoramic glasses with indirect ventilation.

According to official figures on June 11, 1425 cases of infection with coronavirus were registered in the Pskov region, 12 people died.
